Measurement
Flatness measurement
KDvision-Flat gives you the opportunity to objectively measure the flatness of your film directly during the production process for the first time. Track the effects of process parameter changes in real time and optimize your production efficiently.
KDvision-Flat is also ideal for quality assurance: define acceptable limits for flatness and reliably check compliance with them.
KDvision-Flat is suitable for both new installations and for upgrading existing systems. We would be happy to advise you.
Objective
Measurement of flatness
KDvision-Flat delivers precise and objective measurements – directly during ongoing production.
Process development and quality assurance
Optimize your processes effortlessly: Find the best settings for perfect flatness. Also, KDvision-Flat supports you in quality assurance.

Thanks to its intuitive user interface, KDvision-Flat is quick to set up and easy to use—even without in-depth technical knowledge.

Flatness defects become visible
In the past, evaluating flatness was often a tedious and subjective task.
KDvision-Flat is a powerful measuring device that provides an objective flatness index as a 2-sigma value inline. It also offers a clear visual representation of the flatness quality of the film web.
KDvision-Flat is versatile:
- Process development: Effortlessly find the optimal production parameters for perfect flatness.
- Quality assurance: Reliably document and monitor flatness quality.
The KDvision flat can be installed flexibly – either in the double lane downstream or in one or both single lanes after separating the film (100% monitoring).
Everything at a glance: In 4 sections

1. Header bar
The header bar permanently displays the most important information about current production.
2. Speedometers
Three “speedometer” gauges display the 2-sigma values for flatness in current production:
- 2-Sigma of the last scan
- 2-Sigma of the current roll
- 2-Sigma of the current order
3. Trend
The diagram shows the development of the flatness quality of the film over time.
4. Defect map
The defect map visually highlights areas where the flatness of the film is either good or poor.
Easy operation on a large touchscreen
The KDvision-Flat features an intuitive user interface that provides a clear and understandable visual representation of the film flatness during ongoing production.
Control is entirely touch-based on a generous 27″ screen and is suitable for operators with varying levels of experience.
