Product overview
KDvision-C
The KDvision-C is a contact capacitive measuring system with high accuracy. It is used for all standard PE/PP applications that do not require complex non-contact measurement.
With the optional attachment of smooth-running support rollers, slightly adhesive or very dull films can also be measured without any problems.
The measuring range is 6µm to 350µm film thickness.
A combination with the VARIOspeed module is possible.
KDvision-CNC
The KDvision-CNC is a non-contact capacitive measurement system with high accuracy. It has a special multiple air cushion and is used for all PE/PP applications that require non-contact measurement.
It reliably prevents markings and scratches on sensitive films or bubble-breaks on highly adhesive films (e.g. agricultural stretch with PIB).
The measuring range is 8µm to 250µm film thickness.
A combination with the VARIOspeed module is possible.
KDvision-O/CNC
The KDvision-O/CNC is a non-contact combination measuring device with capacitive and optical sensor. It is used to measure translucent barrier films and all PE/PP films (including colored films).
The measuring accuracy is considerably higher than with radiometric measuring devices at the bubble. The thickness distribution of the barrier layer is displayed separately, down to 1µm thin EVOH barriers.
The measuring range is from 10µm to 250µm film thickness.
In contrast to barrier film measuring bars, the KDvision-O/CNC enables a direct response behavior of the gauge control, with high savings during start-up and product or format changes.
A combination with the VARIOspeed module is possible.
KDvision-N
The KDvision-N enables non-contact nuclear measurement of deeply colored barrier films and all PE/PP films, even for special applications with very high thicknesses.
The measuring system has a soft gamma radiation source and is suitable for film thicknesses from 20µm to 1000µm.
Special versions up to 6000µm are available on request.
In contrast to barrier film measuring bars, the KDvision-N enables a direct response behavior of the profile control, with high savings during start-up and product or format changes.
Fast start-ups and format changes with VARIOspeed
With the VARIOspeed option for the KDvision thickness measurement system, you can significantly reduce your scrap production during start-up and format changes. VARIOspeed temporarily accelerates the measuring processes during these phases. As a result, the thickness profile is adjusted more quickly and you can produce high-quality film faster.
With VARIOspeed, you reduce the already fast adjustment time with Kdesign from approx. 12 minutes to approx. 7 minutes (2-sigma < 50%). This may not sound like much at first, but for typical blown film production it means annual savings in the 6-digit euro range.
